Strauss Borrelli PLLC, a leading data breach law firm, is investigating H&H Color Lab, Inc. (“H&H”) regarding its recent data breach. The H&H data breach involved sensitive personal information belonging to over 2,100 individuals.
ABOUT H&H COLOR LAB, INC.:
H&H is a photography and printing company based in Missouri. Founded in 1970, H&H provides a range photography and image printing services, including portrait and wedding prints, framing, photo albums and books, school and sports team photography, online proofing, specialty products, and more.2,3 Headquartered in Raytown, Missouri, H&H employs over 50 individuals.3
WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, H&H reported to the Attorney General of Maine that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information in its care may have been compromised. According to the breach notice, on July 31, 2025, H&H detected suspicious activity in a portion of its computer network.1 As a result, H&H launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.
Through its investigation, H&H confirmed that sensitive personal information in its systems may have been accessed or acquired by an unauthorized third party on July 30, 2025. As a result, H&H began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:4
- Name
- Social Security number
- Financial account information
- Driver’s license information
On January 13, 2026, H&H began mailing data breach notification letters to impacted individuals. Based on the breach notice sent to Maine residents, H&H is providing affected individuals with a list of the specific types of sensitive information impacted and complementary credit monitoring services.
