On September 29, 2025, Thomas Davies filed official notice of the data breach with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office for Civil Rights.1 Though much information is still not known about the Thomas Davies breach, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ reporting guidelines require entities to report data breaches when they involve protected health information. Therefore, it is likely that the Thomas Davies breach included the protected health information belonging to over 14,500 individuals.
