Bohren’s is a moving and storage company based in New Jersey. Founded in 1924, Bohren’s offers various services such as household moving, international moving, office moving and storage, and custom crafting and packing.2 Headquartered in Robbinsville, New Jersey, Bohren’s employs over 50 individuals and operates an additional warehouse location in Parsippany.3
WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, Bohren’s reported to the Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information in its care may have been compromised. According to the breach notice, on July 31, 2025, Bohren’s became aware of suspicious activity involving its network.1 As a result, Bohren’s launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.
Through its investigation, Bohren’s confirmed that sensitive personal information in its systems may have been accessed and/or acquired by an unauthorized third party between July 3 and July 31, 2025. As a result, Bohren’s began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Driver’s license number
On or about October 10, 2025, Bohren’s began mailing data breach notification letters to impacted individuals. Based on the breach notice sent to Massachusetts residents, Bohren’s is providing affected individuals with a list of the specific types of sensitive information impacted and 24 months of complimentary credit monitoring services.
