Doctors Imaging Group Data Breach Investigation

Strauss Borrelli PLLC, a leading data breach law firm, is investigating Doctors Imaging Group (“Doctors Imaging”) regarding its recent data breach. Doctors Imaging is a medical diagnostic imaging practice based in Florida. Founded in 1973, Doctors Imaging provides a range of medical imaging services, including digital mammography, ultrasound, diagnostic x-ray, CT scans, lung cancer screenings, MRIs, and more.2,3 Headquartered in Gainesville, Florida, Doctors Imaging employs over 50 individuals and offers services at two additional locations in Florida.3,4

WHAT HAPPENED?

Recently, Doctors Imaging announced that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information in its care may have been compromised. According to the breach notice shared on its website, Doctors Imaging recently became aware of suspicious activity involving its computer network.1 As a result, Doctors Imaging launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.

Through its investigation, Doctors Imaging confirmed that the sensitive personal information and protected health information in its network may have been accessed and/or acquired by an unauthorized third party between November 5 and November 11, 2024.1 As a result, Doctors Imaging began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. On August 29, 2025, Doctors Imaging completed this review. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Address
  • Date of birth
  • Financial account information (financial account number, financial account type)
  • Medical information (admission date, patient account number, medical record number, medical treatment information, medical claim information)
  • Health insurance information

 

As a result of the breach, Doctors Imaging posted notice of the data breach to its website. Based on the website breach notice, Doctors Imaging is providing affected individuals with a list of the specific types of sensitive information impacted. 1 A link to the website breach notice is below.
