Headquartered in Miami, Florida, Value Store It has additional locations in Florida and Massachusetts and employs over 50 individuals.
WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, Value Store It announced that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been compromised. According to the breach notice, on May 7, 2025, Value Store It learned that an unauthorized party obtained access to its internal records.1 As a result, Value Store It launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.
Through its investigation, Value Store It confirmed that sensitive personal information in its systems may have been accessed and acquired by an unauthorized third party during the breach. As a result, Value Store It began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. On July 8, 2025, Value Store It completed this review. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Address
- Date of birth
- Driver’s license or state identification number
- Passport number
- Financial or bank account information (e.g., account numbers, routing numbers, institution name)
As a result of the data breach, Value Store It posted a notice of the incident on its website. Additionally, Value Store It recently began mailing breach notification letters to impacted individuals. Based on the website breach notice, Value Store It is providing affected individuals with a list of the specific types of sensitive information impacted and complimentary credit monitoring services.
