WHAT HAPPENED?
On July 10, 2025, Graypoint reported to the Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its care may have been compromised. In the sample breach notice, Graypoint does not elaborate on the nature of the security incident that impacted its systems. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Financial account information
As a result of the data breach, Graypoint began providing notice to impacted individuals. Based on the notice sent to Massachusetts residents, Graypoint is providing affected individuals with 24 months of complimentary credit monitoring services.
