WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, it was reported by online sources that EFW had experienced a cyberattack impacting the functionality of its systems. According to these sources, EFW recently confirmed that it had notified victims, including customers and employees, of a cyberattack that took place on May 28, 2025.1 Additionally, a ransomware group took credit for the attack in late June, posting sample images of what it claims are documents stolen from EFW, including passport scans, driver’s licenses, and spreadsheets.1 As of July 2, 2025, EFW has not disclosed the specific nature of the cybersecurity incident or confirmed whether the incident resulted in a data breach.
