Bray International Data Breach Investigation

WHAT HAPPENED?

On June 20, 2025, Bray reported to the Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its care may have been compromised.1 In the sample breach notice, Bray does not elaborate on the nature of the security incident that impacted its systems. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Driver’s license number

 

As a result of the data breach, Bray began providing notice to impacted individuals. Based on the notice sent to Massachusetts residents, Bray is providing affected individuals with a list of the specific types of sensitive information impacted and complimentary credit monitoring services.1 A link to the breach report filed by the Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is below.
