Strauss Borrelli PLLC, a leading data breach law firm, is investigating TRG, LLC, which does business as TRG Medical Imaging (“TRG”) regarding its recent data breach. TRG is a medical imaging company based in Oregon. Founded in 1970, TRG specializes in diagnostic imaging services including interventional radiology, breast imaging, screening services, and more.2 Headquartered in Portland, Oregon, TRG employs over 20 individuals.2
WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, TRG reported to the Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts that the debt collection agency, Nationwide Recovery Services, Inc. (“Nationwide”) experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information in its care may have been compromised.1 Nationwide collects information from TRG in connection with payment recovery services Nationwide provides.1 According to the breach notice, Nationwide informed TRG on March 31, 2025, that an unauthorized party gained access to and copied files and folder from the Nationwide computer network between July 5 and July 11, 2024. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Date of birth
- Account balance information
- Medical information
As a result of the data breach, on June 16, 2025, TRG began providing notice to impacted individuals.4 Based on the notice sent to Massachusetts residents, TRG is providing affected individuals with a list of the specific types of sensitive information impacted and complimentary credit monitoring services.
