WHAT HAPPENED?
On June 12, 2025, Nash Brothers reported to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed. According to the breach notice, on January 14, 2025, Nash Brothers learned that their systems had experienced a cyber security incident.1 As a result, Nash Brothers launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.
After completing the investigation, Nash Brothers confirmed that cybercriminals had compromised their network beginning in late December of 2024 and that information was taken from their systems on January 13 and 14.1 As a result, Nash Brothers began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Driver’s license number
On June 10, 2025, Nash Brothers began mailing data breach notification letters to impacted individuals. Based on the breach notice sent to Massachusetts residents, Nash Brothers is providing affected individuals with the specific type of information impacted and complimentary credit monitoring services.
