Headquartered in Humble, Texas, Brian Johnson Insurance employs over five individuals.4

WHAT HAPPENED?

Recently, Brain Johnson Insurance announced that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health insurance in its care may have been compromised. According to the breach notice, on October 23, 2024, Brain Johnson Insurance discovered that it had experienced a data security incident.1 As a result, Brian Johnson Insurance launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.

Through its investigation, Brian Johnson Insurance confirmed that sensitive personal information in its systems may have been accessed by an unauthorized third party on October 10, 2024. As a result, Brian Johnson Insurance began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Address
  • Date of birth
  • Driver’s license number
  • Government issued ID number (e.g., passport, state ID card)
  • Financial account information
  • Credit card information
  • Medical information
  • Health insurance information

 

As a result of the data breach, Brian Johnson Insurance posted a notice of the incident on its website. Additionally, on May 7, 2025, Brian Johnson Insurance began sending breach notification letters to impacted individuals.
