WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, Kiernan Trebach reported to the Attorney General of New Hampshire that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information in its care may have been compromised. According to the breach notice, on or around October 21, 2024, Kiernan Trebach became aware of potential suspicious activity in its network environment.1 As a result, Kiernan Trebach launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.
Through its investigation, Kiernan Trebach confirmed that sensitive personal information in its systems may have been accessed by an unauthorized third party on three different occasions, May 4, 2023, October 26, 2023, and September 24, 2024. As a result, Kiernan Trebach began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. On or around March 4, 2025, Kiernan & Trebach completed this review. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:

On May 7, 2025, Kiernan Trebach began mailing data breach notification letters to impacted individuals.
