Founded in 1971, IAC offers installation services and furniture such as work benches, workstations, tables, mobile stations, shelving, and cabinets.2 Today, IAC’s products serve over 15 industries such as education, aerospace, automotive, and government.2 Headquartered in Goodyear, Arizona, IAC employs over 50 individuals.3
WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, IAC reported to the Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts that sensitive personal identifiable information in its care may have been compromised. According to the breach notice, on November 11, 2024, IAC found unauthorized activity on three of its local servers.1 As a result, IAC launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.
Through its investigation, IAC identified that the unauthorized actor may have accessed and acquired certain information of current or former employees between November 10 and November 29, 2024.1 As a result, IAC began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Birth date
- Address
- Phone number
- Driver’s license number
- Passport number
- Birth certificate information
On April 18, 2025, IAC began mailing data breach notification letters to impacted individuals. Based on the breach notice sent to Massachusetts residents, IAC is providing affected individuals with a list of the specific types of sensitive information impacted and 24 months of complimentary credit monitoring services.
