WHAT HAPPENED?
On April 16, 2025, ZTEX reported to the Attorney General of Texas that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed by an unauthorized third party. As of April 17, 2025, details of the breach have not been made publicly available by ZTEX. While not much is known about the breach, the type of information potentially exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Financial information (e.g., account number, credit or debit card number)
