90 Degree Benefits Data Breach Investigation

Today, 90 Degree Benefits provides a variety of scalable health plan solutions to businesses, such as self-funded and level funded, minimum essential coverage, limited medical benefits, FSA, HAS, consumer driven plans, short term medical insurance, voluntary products, telemedicine, and more.2 With over 20 offices, 90 Degree Benefits serves 525,000 members nationwide.3 Headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, 90 Degree Benefits employs over 200 individuals.

WHAT HAPPENED?

On April 8, 2025, 90 Degree Benefits reported to the Attorney General of Texas that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed by an unauthorized third party. As of April 9, 2025, details of the breach have not been made publicly available by 90 Degree Benefits. While not much is known about the breach, the type of information potentially exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Date of birth
  • Medical information
  • Health insurance information
