Founded in 1975, Erickson Companies provides construction services and prefabricated building components to single and multi-family residential builders in Arizona, California, and Nevada.3 Today, Erickson Companies specializes in framing solutions, including interior and exterior wall panels, stairways and structural components, roof systems, and floor trusses.4 Headquartered in Chandler, Arizona, Erickson Companies has two additional locations in California and Nevada, and employs over 500 individuals.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Recently, Erickson Companies announced that the sensitive personal identifiable information in its care may have been accessed. According to the breach notice, Erickson Companies recently experienced a data security incident.1 As a result, Erickson Companies launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.

Through its investigation, on February 19, 2025, Erickson Companies confirmed that sensitive personal information in its systems belonging to customers and employees may have been compromised by an unauthorized third party on or around November 18, 2024. As a result, Erickson Companies began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Driver’s license number
  • Address

 

As a result of the data breach, Erickson Companies posted a notice of the incident on its website. Additionally, on March 12, 2025, Erickson Companies began sending breach notification letters to impacted individuals. Based on the breach notice sent to California residents, Erickson Companies is providing affected individuals with a list of the specific types of sensitive information impacted and complimentary credit monitoring services.
