VectraRx is a prescription delivery service in Arizona. Providing home delivery of medications for on-the-job and personal injury claims, VectraRx works with physicians and payors.2 Payment for VectraRx is billed and collected from users’ work comp or auto insurance carrier directly. 3 Additionally, new prescriptions through VectraRx typically arrive two to three days after the prescription is received, and refills are automatically sent several days before the previous one expires.3 VectraRx is headquartered in Oro Valley, Arizona.
WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, VectraRx posted notice on its website that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed and acquired. According to the breach notice, VectraRx became aware of unusual activity on a server it operates on or around December 13, 2024.1 As a result, VectraRx launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.
Through its investigation, VectraRx confirmed that sensitive personal information in its systems may have been viewed or copied by an unauthorized third party during the breach. As a result, VectraRx began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. On January 7, 2025, VectraRX completed this review. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Date of birth
- RX number and information
- Date of service
On February 6, 2025, VectraRx began mailing data breach notification letters to impacted individuals. Based on the website notice, VectraRx is providing affected individuals with a list of the specific types of sensitive information impacted and complimentary credit monitoring services.
