WHAT HAPPENED?

Recently, ITO EN reported to the Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts that the sensitive personal identifiable information in its care may have been compromised. According to the breach notice, ITO EN experienced the breach on December 26, 2024. Beyond this, the ITO EN breach notice does not elaborate on the nature of the security incident that impacted its systems. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Financial account information

 

On January 31, 2025, ITO EN began mailing data breach notification letters to impacted individuals. Based on the breach notices provided to the Massachusetts residents, ITO EN is providing affected individuals with a list of the information impacted.
