Boundless Financial Solutions Data Breach Investigation

Cole Financial, Inc. for securities and J.W. Cole Advisors, Inc. for advisory services. 2 Headquartered in East Berlin, Connecticut, Boundless Financial Solutions employs over 10 individuals.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Recently, Boundless Financial Solutions reported to the Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts that it was involved in a data breach at its professional partner, J.W. Cole Financial, Inc. in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed. After becoming aware of the incident, Boundless Financial Solutions launched an investigation to determine the nature of the security breach. In the form breach notice, Boundless Financial Solutions does not elaborate on the nature of the security incident that impacted its systems. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Driver’s license number
  • Financial account information

 

On December 6, 2024, Boundless Financial Solutions began mailing data breach notification letters to impacted individuals. Based on the breach notices provided to the Massachusetts residents, Boundless Financial Solutions is providing affected individuals with a list of the information impacted and 24 months complimentary identity monitoring services.
