Healthcare Services Group Cybersecurity Incident Investigation

Strauss Borrelli PLLC, a leading data breach law firm, is investigating Healthcare Services Group, Inc.(“HCSG”), regarding its recent cybersecurity incident. The HCSG cybersecurity incident may impact the privacy of sensitive personal information belonging to an undetermined number of individuals.

ABOUT HEALTHCARE SERVICES GROUP, INC.:

HCSG is a hospitality service provider based in Pennsylvania. Founded in 1976, HCSG manages housekeeping, laundry, dining, and nutritional services within the healthcare industry.2 Today, HCSG provides these services to over 3,000 healthcare facilities across 48 states.3 Headquartered in Bensalem, Pennsylvania, HCSG employs over 45,000 individuals.

WHAT HAPPENED?

On October 9, 2024, HCSG identified a cybersecurity incident, which involved unauthorized activity within some of its systems.1 In response, HCSG activated its Cybersecurity Incident Response Process to investigate such activity with the assistance of leading third-party cybersecurity experts.1 Additionally, HCSG notified law enforcement authorities.1 On October 16, 2024, HCSG reported the incident in a Form 8-K filing with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission. As of October 17, 2024, HCSG investigation is ongoing and further details have not been made publicly available by HCSG.
