WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, Anderson-Negele reported to the Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed. In the form breach notice, Anderson-Negele does not elaborate on the nature of the security incident that impacted its systems. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Driver’s license or state-issued identification card number
- Financial account number
- Credit or debit card number
As a result of the data breach, Anderson-Negele began mailing data breach notification letters to impacted individuals.
