WHAT HAPPENED?
On September 4, 2024, KN+S reported to the Attorney General of Texas that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information in its systems may have been accessed by an unauthorized third party. As of September 4, 2024, details of the breach have not been made publicly available by KN+S. While not much is known about the breach, the type of information potentially exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Driver’s license number
- Financial information (e.g., account number, credit or debit card number)
- Medical information
On September 3, 2024, KN+S mailed data breach notification letters to impacted individuals. Based on the breach notice provided to Massachusetts residents, KN+S is providing affected individuals with complimentary credit monitoring and identity theft protection services.
