WHAT HAPPENED?
On August 21, 2024, Dick’s detected suspicious activity within its information technology systems, including portions of its systems containing certain confidential information.1 In response, Dick’s activated its cybersecurity response plan and engaged with its external cybersecurity experts to investigate, isolate and contain the threat.1 Additionally, Dick’s began an investigation to determine the nature of scope of the incident.
On August 28, 2024, Dick’s reported the incident in a Form 8-K filing with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission. As of August 28, 2024, Dick’s investigation is ongoing and whether personal information has been exposed has not been made publicly available by Dick’s.
