Today, Enroll Confidently helps create efficiency in the delivery and management of benefits while providing employees visibility, access, engagement, and education.3 Additionally, Enroll Confidently provides a platform to manage the employee lifecycle from onboarding, enrollment, in benefits all the way through the last day of employment with an emphasis on helping businesses manage employee data between payroll and the carriers.3 This platform includes benefit administration, carrier data feeds, onboarding support, and reporting and analytics. Enroll Confidently is headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Recently, Enroll Confidently reported to the Attorney General of California that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information in its systems may have been accessed and acquired. According to the breach notice, on February 13, 2024, Enroll Confidently became aware of unusual activity within its network environment. As a result, Enroll Confidently launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.

Through its investigation, Enroll Confidently learned that sensitive personal information in its systems may have been viewed and taken by an unauthorized third party on February 13, 2024. As a result, Enroll Confidently began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Date of birth
  • Driver’s license or state identification number
  • Financial account information
  • Medical information
  • Health insurance information

 

On August 16, 2024, Enroll Confidently mailed data breach notification letters to impacted individuals. Based on the breach notice sent to California residents, Enroll Confidently is providing affected individuals with a list of the specific type of sensitive information impacted and 24 months of complimentary credit monitoring services.
