Headquartered in New York, New York, PRM has 13 additional locations and employs over 50 individuals.
WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, PRM announced that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information in its systems may have been accessed. According to the breach notice, in June 2024, PRM detected suspicious activity within its email environment. As a result, PRM launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.
Through its investigation, PRM learned that sensitive personal information in its systems may have been compromised by an unauthorized actor using an employee’s email account between January 30, 2024, and June 5, 2024. As a result, PRM began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. While the exact type of personal information potentially exposed has not been made publicly available by PRM, in its breach notice it mentions that protected health information and Social Security numbers may have been impacted.
As a result of the data breach, PRM posted a notice of the incident on its website. Additionally, PRM plans to mail data breach notification letters to impacted individuals. Based on the breach notice on its website, PRM will be providing affected individuals with a list of the specific type of sensitive information impacted and complimentary credit monitoring services.
