WHAT HAPPENED?

Recently, Longroad reported to the Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed. In the form breach notice, Longroad does not elaborate on the nature of the security incident that impacted its systems. However, according to the breach report on the Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts’ website, the type of information potentially exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Driver’s license information
  • Financial account information

 

As a result of the data breach, Longroad began mailing data breach notification letters to impacted individuals. Based on the breach notices sent to Massachusetts residents, Longroad is providing affected individuals with a list of the specific type of sensitive information impacted and complimentary credit monitoring services.
