WHAT HAPPENED?

Recently, Accountable Healthcare Staffing reported to the Attorney General of Maine that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed and acquired. According to the breach notice, on or around February 5, 2024, Accountable Healthcare Staffing discovered suspicious activity related to an employee’s email account. As a result, Accountable Healthcare Staffing launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.

Through its investigation, Accountable Healthcare Staffing learned that sensitive personal information may have been viewed or taken through this email account between January 31, 2024, and February 2, 2024. As a result, Accountable Healthcare Staffing began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number

 

On July 31, 2024, Accountable Healthcare Staffing began mailing data breach notification letters to impacted individuals. Based on the breach notice sent to Maine residents, Accountable Healthcare Staffing is providing affected individuals with a list of the specific type of sensitive information impacted and 12 months of complimentary credit monitoring services.
