Additionally, Sutton Dental Arts offers more invasive treatments such as implants, dentures, cosmetic dentistry, orthodontics, CBCT imaging, oral and maxillofacial surgery, and full mouth reconstruction. Headquartered in Roseburg, Oregon, Sutton Dental Arts has one location.
WHAT HAPPENED?
On July 22, 2024, Sutton Dental Arts reported to the Attorney General of Oregon that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal information in its systems may have been accessed. According to the data breach report posted on the Attorney General of Oregon’s website, Sutton Dental Arts suffered this data breach on April 11, 2024. That same day, Sutton Dental Arts detected the breach. The exact type of personal information potentially exposed has not been made publicly available by Sutton Dental Arts. However, according to state reporting guidelines, “personal information” can include the following types of information:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Driver’s license or state issued ID number
- Passport number
- Financial account number, credit or debit card number, in combination with any required security code, access code, or password
- Unique biometric information (e.g., image of fingerprint, retina, or iris)
- Health insurance policy number or health insurance subscriber identification number in combination with any other unique identifier
- Medical information (e.g., medical history, mental or physical condition, medical diagnosis or treatment information)
