WHAT HAPPENED?

Recently, GIM discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed. Through its investigation, GIM determined that an unauthorized third party accessed this sensitive information through its email environment on May 20, 2024. On July 16, 2024, GIM began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of personal information potentially exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Date of birth
  • Address
  • Driver’s license number
  • Financial information (e.g., account number, credit or debit card number)
