HealthFirst Family Care Center Data Breach Investigation

Strauss Borrelli PLLC, a leading data breach law firm, is investigating HealthFirst Family Care Center, Inc. (“HealthFirst”) regarding its recent data breach. The HealthFirst data breach involved sensitive personal identifiable information belonging to an undetermined number of individuals.

HealthFirst is a federally qualified health center based in New Hampshire. Founded in 1996, HealthFirst promotes health, wellness, and disease prevention through a variety of health screenings, such as breast and cervical cancer screenings.2 Additionally, HealthFirst’s providers are available for a multitude of medical care needs, such as sore throats, sutures, sprains, strains, digestive problems, heart disease, neurology, dermatology, gynecology, lung disease, psychiatry, podiatry, infectious disease, and more.2 Today, HealthFirst provides wellness care through annual physicals, sports physicals, DOT physicals, and well child checks.2 Headquartered in Franklin, New Hampshire, HealthFirst has two additional locations in New Hampshire and employs over 50 individuals.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Recently, HealthFirst discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed. Through its investigation, HealthFirst determined that an unauthorized third party accessed this sensitive information through an employee’s email account between April 26 and April 29, 2024. On June 28, 2024, HealthFirst began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of personal information potentially exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Email address
