JSI Cabinetry Data Breach Investigation

Strauss Borrelli PLLC, a leading data breach law firm, is investigating JSI Cabinetry (“JSI”) regarding its recent data breach. The JSI data breach involved sensitive personal identifiable information belonging to over 1,700 individuals.

ABOUT JSI CABINETRY:

JSI is a cabinet design and manufacturing company based in Massachusetts. Founded in 1997, JSI offers rich details, attractive finishes, quality all-wood construction and an assortment of cabinets to fit a variety of homes and lifestyles.2 Today, JSI’s wide selection of styles and colors keep pace with the latest trends in home décor and cabinetry.2 Additionally, JSI’s main distribution channel caters to kitchen and bath dealers, and products ship within one week and are available assembled (stapled and glued) or unassembled.3 Headquartered in Fall River, Massachusetts, JSI employs over 50 individuals.

WHAT HAPPENED?

On February 7, 2024, JSI discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed and acquired. Through its investigation, JSI determined that an unauthorized third party accessed this sensitive information via a ransomware attack on January 26, 2024. On June 18, 2024, JSI began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information potentially exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
