Eventually, Service by Medallion expanded into maintenance, consulting, and construction. Today, Service by Medallion specializes in daily disinfecting and cleaning services, construction site cleanup, and tenant supplies maintenance. Headquartered in Mountain View, California, Service by Medallion employs over 500 individuals to work out of three branch offices around the Bay Area.
WHAT HAPPENED?
On January 5, 2022, Service by Medallion discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed. Through its investigation, Service by Medallion determined that an unauthorized actor may have gained access to this sensitive information through employee email accounts between August 21, 2021 and January 16, 2022. On August 16, 2022, Service by Medallion began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed includes:
