Today, Bridgestone Americas has more than 50 production facilities and employs over 55,000 people throughout the Americas. In 2021, Bridgestone Americas’ annual revenue was $29 billion.

WHAT HAPPENED?

On February 27, 2022, Bridgestone Americas discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed and acquired. Through its investigation, Bridgestone Americas determined that an unauthorized actor exported data, including some credit forms, to an external storage platform. In late August 2022, Bridgestone Americas began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Financial account information
