WHAT HAPPENED?

Recently, Vellum Mortgage discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed. Vellum Mortgage disclosed that the breach was a ransomware attack on its systems. Through its investigation, Vellum Mortgage determined an unauthorized actor may have accessed this sensitive information belonging to its customers. On October 12, 2022, Vellum Mortgage began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Driver’s license number or other governmental identification
  • Financial account information
  • Address
  • Result of credit check
