WHAT HAPPENED?
On December 6, 2022, The Metropolitan Opera discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed and acquired. Through its investigation, The Metropolitan Opera determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed and obtained this sensitive information between September 30 and December 6, 2022. On May 3, 2023, The Metropolitan Opera began contacting individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed includes:
