WHAT HAPPENED?
On June 1, 2023, Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union discovered that it experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed. Through its investigation, Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this sensitive information through a vulnerability in the MOVEit file transfer software used by Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union. On July 20, 2023, Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union began contacting individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed includes:
