Thayer Academy is a private primary and secondary school based in Massachusetts. WHAT HAPPENED?

Recently, Thayer Academy discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed and acquired. Through its investigation, Thayer Academy determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this sensitive information on February 4, 2023. On April 5, 2023, and May 14, 2024, Thayer Academy notified individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information potentially exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Address
  • Financial information (e.g., account number, credit or debit card number)
