With its main campus located in Angwin, California, Pacific Union College has approximately 1,600 enrolled full-time students.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Earlier this year, Pacific Union College discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed. Through its investigation, Pacific Union College determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this sensitive information through a ransomware attack between March 5, 2023, and March 19, 2023. On November 8, 2023, Pacific Union College began contacting individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Financial information
