Additionally, AutoZone provides services in diagnostics, testing, and troubleshooting for a wide range of car problems. Headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee, AutoZone has over 6,000 stores across all 50 U.S. states, the District of Colombia, Puerto Rico, and Brazil.

WHAT HAPPENED?

In August 2023, AutoZone discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed and acquired. Through its investigation, AutoZone determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed and acquired this sensitive information through a vulnerability in the MOVEit file sharing platform used by AutoZone. On November 21, 2023, AutoZone began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information potentially exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
