Gravity Payments Data Breach Investigation

Strauss Borrelli PLLC, a leading data breach law firm, is investigating Gravity Payments, Inc. (“Gravity”) regarding its recent data breach. The Gravity data breach involved sensitive personal information belonging to over 2,200 individuals.

ABOUT GRAVITY PAYMENTS, INC.:

Gravity is a payments solutions company based in Washington. Founded in 2004, Gravity provides range of payment processing services and solutions for businesses, including credit card terminals, PCI compliance, e-commerce platforms, and more.2,3,4 Industries that Gravity provides payments processing services for include hospitality, food and beverage, healthcare, energy, non-profits, bridal shops, HVAC, etc.2,4 Headquartered in Seattle, Washington, Gravity employs over 200 individuals.3

WHAT HAPPENED?

Recently, Gravity reported to the Attorney General of New Hampshire that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information in its care may have been compromised. According to the breach notice, on or around August 22, 2025, a third-party service provider informed Gravity that due to a vulnerability in their software an unknown actor may have gained access to certain files stored in Gravity’s customer relationship management software.1 As a result, Gravity launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.

Through its investigation, Gravity confirmed that sensitive personal information in its customer relationship management software may have been accessed or acquired by an unauthorized third party during the breach. As a result, Gravity began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. On January 15, 2026, Gravity completed this review. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number

 

On February 4, 2026, Gravity began mailing data breach notification letters to impacted individuals. Based on the breach notice sent to New Hampshire residents, Gravity is providing affected individuals with a list of the specific types of sensitive information impacted and 12 months complimentary credit monitoring services.
