Operating for more than 20 years, Dashbusiness provides a range of financial and business management services, including daily or monthly bookkeeping, payroll processing, accounts payable and receivable, file maintenance, tax packages, and more.2,3 Headquartered in Woodland, California, Dashbusiness employs over 10 individuals.2,4
WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, Dashbusiness reported to the Attorney General of New Hampshire that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information in its care may have been compromised. According to the breach notice, on or around November 25, 2024, Dashbusiness detected irregular activity within its computer network.1 As a result, Dashbusiness launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.
Through its investigation, Dashbusiness confirmed that sensitive personal information in its systems may have been accessed and/or acquired by an unauthorized third party between November 13 and November 23, 2024. As a result, Dashbusiness began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Driver’s license number
On February 4, 2026, Dashbusiness began mailing data breach notification letters to impacted individuals. Based on the breach notice sent to New Hampshire residents, Dashbusiness is providing affected individuals with a list of the specific types of sensitive information impacted and 12 months of complimentary credit monitoring services.
