WHAT HAPPENED?

Recently, Nura discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive protected health information in its systems may have been accessed. On November 21, 2025, Nura filed official notice of the data breach with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office for Civil Rights.1 Though much information is still not known about the Nura breach, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ reporting guidelines require entities to report data breaches when they involve protected health information. Therefore, it is likely that the Nura breach included the protected health information belonging to over 5,200 individuals. As a result of the data breach, Nura may soon begin notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted.
