Gulshan Management Services Data Breach Investigation

Gulshan is a gas station and convenience store management company based in Texas. Founded in 1976, Gulshan operates a range of gas stations and convenience stores branded under the names Handi Plus and Handi Stop, as well as gas stations affiliated with Shell and ExxonMobil.2 Headquartered in Sugar Land, Texas, Gulshan employs over 200 individuals and oversees close to 150 locations.2

WHAT HAPPENED?

On January 5, 2026, Gulshan reported to the Attorney General of Texas that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed by an unauthorized third party. As of January 6, 2025, details of the breach have not been made publicly available by Gulshan. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Address
  • Driver’s license number
  • Government-issued ID number (e.g. passport, state ID card)
  • Financial information (e.g. account number, credit or debit card number)
