Strauss Borrelli PLLC, a leading data breach law firm, is investigating Lynn Community Health Center (“Lynn Community”) regarding its recent data breach. The Lynn Community data breach involved sensitive personal information and protected health information belonging to approximately 6,200 individuals.

Lynn Community is a health center based in Massachusetts. Founded in 1971, Lynn Community provides a range of medical services to patients, including services for primary care, behavioral health, eye care, dental, immunizations, pediatrics, and more.2,3 Headquartered in Lynn, Massachusetts, Lynn Community employs over 550 individuals and serves over 46,000 individuals annually.3
WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, Lynn Community announced that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information in its care may have been compromised. According to the breach notice shared on its website, Lynn Community was notified by OCHIN EPIC of a recent security incident involving TriZetto Prover Solutions (“TriZetto”), an OCHIN EPIC subcontractor, that affected protected health information for Lynn Community patients.1 As a result, TriZetto launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.
In the sample breach notice provided to the Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Lynn Community does not elaborate on the nature of the security incident that impacted TriZetto. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:

As a result of the breach, Lynn Community posted notice of the breach on its website. Based on the website breach notice, TriZetto will be providing affected individuals with a list of the specific types of sensitive information impacted and complimentary credit monitoring services on behalf of Lynn Community.
