Strauss Borrelli PLLC, a leading data breach law firm, is investigating CoMark Equity Alliance (“CoMark”) regarding its recent data breach. The CoMark data breach involved sensitive personal information belonging to an undetermined number of individuals.

CoMark is a grain company based in Oklahoma. Founded in 2017 following the merger of CoMark Grain Marketing (CGM) and Equity Marketing Alliance (EMA), CoMark provides a range of grain trading, management, and marketing/selling services to grain producers, including commodity purchase contracts, grain position management, centralized trucking and hauling, agricultural market trackers, cash bids, risk management, and more.2,3,4 Headquartered in Enid, Oklahoma, CoMark is comprised of 23 grain cooperatives and operates 144 locations across Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas.2,3
WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, CoMark reported to the Attorney General of Maine that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information in its care may have been compromised. According to the breach notice, CoMark discovered unauthorized access to its network occurred on or around March 18, 2025.1 As a result, CoMark launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.
Through its investigation, CoMark confirmed that sensitive personal information in its systems may have been accessed and acquired by an unauthorized third party during the breach. As a result, CoMark began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. On December 17, 2025, CoMark completed this review. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
As a result of the breach, CoMark began mailing data breach notification letters to impacted individuals. Based on the breach notice sent to Maine residents, CoMark is providing affected individuals with a list of the specific types of sensitive information impacted and complimentary credit monitoring services.
