Strauss Borrelli PLLC, a leading data breach law firm, is investigating Artivo Surfaces (“Artivo”) regarding its recent data breach. The Artivo data breach involved sensitive personal information belonging to over 1,000 individuals.
ABOUT ARTIVO SURFACES:
Artivo is a flooring and tile company based in Michigan. Today, Artivo distributes a range of flooring and tile products for both residential and commercial markets, including hardwood, tile, vinyl, natural stone, slabs, and installation materials.2,3 Headquartered in Livonia, Michigan, Artivo employs over 50 individuals and has 48 locations across 18 states.3
WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, Artivo reported to the Attorney General of Maine that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information in its care may have been compromised. According to the breach notice, on or around September 1, 2025, Artivo detected suspicious activity related to its network.1 As a result, Artivo launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.
Through its investigation, Artivo confirmed that sensitive personal information in its systems may have been accessed or acquired by an unauthorized third party during the breach. As a result, Artivo began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
On or about December 18, 2025, Artivo began mailing data breach notification letters to impacted individuals. Based on the breach notice sent to Maine residents, Artivo is providing affected individuals with a list of the specific types of sensitive information impacted and 12 months of complimentary credit monitoring services.
