Strauss Borrelli PLLC, a leading data breach law firm, is investigating Physicians to Children & Adolescents (“PTCA”) regarding its recent data breach. The PTCA data breach involved sensitive personal information and protected health information belonging to an undetermined number of individuals.

PTCA is a pediatric healthcare office based in Kentucky. Today, PTCA provides a range of pediatric care services, including sick and well child visits, onsite X-ray, behavioral health services, dental care, and more.2 Headquartered in Bardstown, Kentucky, PTCA employs approximately 15 individuals and operates an additional office in Springfield, Kentucky.2,3
WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, PTCA announced that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information in its care may have been compromised. According to the breach notice shared on its website, PTCA learned that an unauthorized party gained access to its internal network.1 As a result, PTCA launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.
Through its investigation, PTCA confirmed that sensitive personal information and protected health information in its systems may have been accessed and/or acquired by an unauthorized third party between November 15 and November 20, 2024. As a result, PTCA began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Date of birth
- Address
- Medical treatment and/or diagnosis information
- Medical history information
- Lab results
- Diagnostic imaging results
- Prescription information
- Health insurance information
- Medical record numbers
On October 24, 2025, PTCA posted notice of the breach on its website. Additionally, PTCA filed official notice of the data breach with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office for Civil Rights.4 Based on the website breach notice, PTCA is providing affected individuals with a list of the specific types of sensitive information impacted and complimentary credit monitoring services.
