WHAT HAPPENED?
On August 14, 2025, Linedata announced that it experienced a cybersecurity incident on August 11, 2025.1 In response, Linedata launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident. During the initial stages of its ongoing investigation, Linedata has discovered that the incident involved the malicious encryption of data hosted on a domain belonging to the Asset Management business line, but other hosting domains and other business lines were not affected.1 As of December 2, 2025, Linedata’s investigation is ongoing and further details have not been made publicly available by Linedata.
