Strauss Borrelli PLLC, a leading data breach law firm, is investigating SSA Holdings, LLC, which does business as SSA Group (“SSA”), regarding its recent data breach. The SSA data breach involved sensitive personal information belonging to an undetermined number of individuals.

Operating for almost 50 years, SSA partners with zoos, museums, aquariums, and other cultural attractions to provide consulting services for their food service, retail, and admissions operations.2,3,4 The consulting services offered by SSA encompass retail design, kiosk integration, custom product design, culinary programming, product packaging, digital ticketing processes, event and catering operations, and more.2,5,6,7,8,9 Headquartered in Denver, Colorado, SSA employs over 5,000 individuals and partners with approximately 79 cultural attractions.3
WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, SSA reported to the Attorney General of California that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information in its care may have been compromised. According to the breach notice, SSA identified unauthorized activity on its computer newtork.1 As a result, SSA launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.
Through its investigation, SSA confirmed that sensitive personal information in its systems may have been accessed and acquired by an unauthorized third party on September 15, 2025. As a result, SSA began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:10
- Name
- Social Security number
As a result of the breach, SSA began mailing data breach notification letters to impacted individuals. Based on the breach notice sent to California residents, SSA is providing affected individuals with a list of the specific types of sensitive information impacted and complimentary credit monitoring services.
