Strauss Borrelli PLLC, a leading data breach law firm, is investigating Consero Global LLC (“Consero”) regarding its recent data breach. The Consero data breach involved sensitive personal information belonging to over 9,200 individuals.

Consero is a financial services company based in Texas. Founded in 2006, Consero provides a range of financial services to investors, companies, and organizations, including bookkeeping, financial planning and analysis, CFO advisory services, and more.2,3,4 Additionally, Consero offers a cloud software platform called SIMPL which features tools for customer invoicing and vendor billings, employee expense approvals, financial reporting, workflow management, graphical metrics, etc.5 Headquartered in Austin, Texas, Consero employs over 1,000 individuals and partners with over 300 companies.3
WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, Consero reported to the Attorney General of Maine that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information in its care may have been compromised. According to the breach notice, on or around July 4, 2025, Consero became aware of suspicious activity in its environment.1 As a result, Consero launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.
Through its investigation, Consero confirmed that sensitive personal information in its systems related to its client Propeller Industries may have been accessed and acquired by an unauthorized third party between April 27 and July 4, 2025. As a result, Consero began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
On October 23, 2025, Consero began mailing data breach notification letters to impacted individuals. Based on the breach notice sent to Maine residents, Consero is providing affected individuals with a list of the specific types of sensitive information impacted and 12 months of complimentary credit monitoring services.
